Performance People™ are a niche consulting company: passionate about people & dedicated to people performance. As specialists in the areas of performance, learning, communication & change, we offer a powerful range of services & solutions with which to help organisations unlock their people potential & maximise their people performance. We work in a number of business areas, with people at all levels, and enjoy long-term consulting relationships with a wide variety of clients.

Performance People™ are an approved Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) centre and Enhanced Learning Credit (ELC) provider. We are also accredited by the Association of Neuro Linguistic Programming (ANLP), the American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming (ABNLP), and the International Neuro Linguistic Programming Trainers Association (INLPTA). As such, we are able to offer professional qualifications in coaching & mentoring alongside certificated trainings in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and an academic pathway leading to an MA in Coaching & Mentoring Practice with Oxford Brookes University.

Performance People™ have worked extensively within Defence on a variety of Ministry of Defence (MoD) contracts to become respected Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the areas of coaching & mentoring, transformational leadership, and organisation development. As ex-Servicemen ourselves, we have a true understanding of the Service mindset, a great respect for the Service ethos, and a real passion for helping Service people get the very best from themselves.

Background



Performance People™ was founded in 1999 by Mark Woodhouse. Originally trading as Performance Associates™, the company was established on a personal credo: “we do what we love, love what we do, and practice the philosophy we teach”. In this way, it was inaugurated as a lifestyle business to provide an environment & opportunity for its associates to: (1) develop themselves personally by doing what they do professionally; (2) work with other quality like-minded people; and (3) make a real difference to other people’s lives. Then as now, this vision was underpinned by a passion for developing people and a dedication to people performance.

In 2000, Simon Toy joined Mark at Performance Associates™. With Mark focusing on training design, and Simon on training delivery, a strong partnership was forged that enjoyed considerable corporate success. In 2003, Mark and Simon decided to develop their own businesses along similar, but different, lines. After selling the Performance Associates™ name and an intellectual property licence to Simon, Mark set-up Performance People™ as a separate business identity. Both companies continue to enjoy a consulting relationship today as brother & sister companies.

From 2004, Performance People™ has developed as a team with Graham Carter, Jeremy Duggan and Bill Agnew joining as associate directors to bring added breadth & depth of experience alongside their passion for developing people. Along with Mark, and a number of independent associates, they are the personalities presently dedicated to realising the Performance People™ vision, mission & values.
